Summer Class Information 2011
Hopkins Dance Center has a great selection of summer classes for dancers of all ages, training, and abilities. Our first batch of classes is posted (follow the links on this page). Also, please check back for more class postings in the next several weeks!

before enrolling. You can enroll by printing our enrollment form and submitting it with a check payable to Hopkins Dance Center. Mail or bring your registration to:

Accessing Summer Schedule
Our summer class schedule is available in several different ways to help you find the classes you want that meet your schedule:
- Summer classes sorted by instructor
- Summer classes sorted by type of class (e.g. ballet, jazz, tap)
- Summer classes sorted by student age
- Summer classes sorted by start date
- Summer calendar (to see classes on a specific date)
Summer Registration Policies
Minimum class size is 8 students. Hopkins Dance Center reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any class that does not meet this minimum.
Please register for the correct level! If you are unsure, please contact the studio. Students registered for the wrong level will be moved at the discretion of Hopkins Dance. Hopkins Dance Center reserves the right to change your registration as deemed necessary. Refer to the following levels when reviewing course titles:
| Fundamental: | Provides basic skills for the young or beginning dancer |
| Beginning: | Classes for students with some dance skills |
| Advanced Beginning: | For the student with several years of dance classes |
| Intermediate: | Classes for students with strong dance skills |
| Advanced: | Designed to challenge and develop the experienced dancer |
To hold your place in class, payment must be made with registration in advance. Registration on the first day of class will incur a $5.00 registration fee. No registration for partial attendance will be allowed. If you are unable to attend the full session, please buy a gypsy card. No credit on unused cards.
No makeup classes during summer session.
Single class rates are available. Please contact the office for more information.
Ballet classes require black leotards, pink dance belt, pink tights and ballet shoes. Hair must be neatly pulled back and off of face, buns are REQUIRED. NO BIG SHIRTS! No skirts or cover-ups during barre.
Jazz, tap, and lyrical classes require form fitting, SOLID COLORED dance or athletic tops and BLACK dance shorts or pants. Tights can be worn with dance shorts if preferred. Hair must be pulled back and off the face (no bangs in the eyes). NO BIG/BAGGY SHORTS OR PANTS. NO BRA TOPS!
Hopkins Dance Center does not conduct auditions for Competition Teams. Please register for Ballet Technique, Jazz, and Tap for your age. Please note on your registration that you would like to evaluated for a Competition Team. Please advise the teacher that you are taking the class for evaluation. Placement notification will be mailed in early August.
